SUBMISSION DEADLINE 11/22: 2BeatHIV’s HIV testing crowdsourcing contest!

We are launching a crowdsourcing contest via 2BeatHIV.org to encourage community members to design digital campaigns that raise awareness about HIV testing. We are asking you to join in and be a part of the solution by participating in the contest! As a participant, you would submit your ideas and vote on others’ submissions to find the best solutions to addressing problems and concerns related to HIV testing. What is this study about? Researchers are trying to develop a campaign to reduce stigma associated with HIV testing. We need your ideas and creativity! We challenge you to submit YOUR creative solutions to developing a new HIV testing campaign. Do I have to participate? Participation in this study is completely voluntary. You can refuse or stop participating in the study at any time, for any reason. Confidentiality We will make every effort to protect your identity. Will your name be shared? No! All of your information will be kept confidential. Also we will keep all data in a password protected computer, or in a locked office and file cabinet.  Confidentiality Continued If you agree to join the study, other participants will know you are taking part in the contest. We will ask all participants to keep the names of others confidential, but we can’t guarantee this. Feel free to use a fake name and avatar. Make it fun! Benefits and Pay to Participate Our main focus is to provide new knowledge. You won’t benefit personally or be paid from participating in this study but you will have a hand in helping your local community and society! You don’t have to pay anything to participate! You may use a computer OR a smartphone to join and add your ideas to the contest. If you don’t have a smartphone or computer, please contact a staff member to get temporary access to these devices or to participate in the in-person engagement activities. What you have to do We challenge you to submit your thoughts and creative ideas. You can either submit your ideas by yourself or join a team to work together. Secondly, you will be asked to complete surveys about your demographic information. The entire study, including the contest and survey will last 12 months. Research findings will be shared Findings from this study may be shared through journal articles, online and print, and presentations. Your name or any photos with your face will not be shared.
